The HLB8 is an 8-inch ultra-thin LED lens downlight with a remote driver/junction box, suitable for both new construction and remodel applications. Its field-selectable color temperature and high color rendering index (CRI) provide excellent color performance. The simplified installation in drywall or suspended ceilings eliminates the need for recessed cans, saving time and money. The fixture can be installed from below the ceiling with as little as 3-1/2 inches of plenum height, and it can be used in direct contact with insulation while maintaining an airtight seal.
This downlight is designed for general area lighting in low to medium height ceilings, where energy savings, long life, and cost-effectiveness are the priorities. The housing and J-box are not required, and the easy-to-install spring clips firmly secure the fixture in the repositionable driver junction box.
The HLB8 offers selectable color temperatures ranging from 2700K to 5000K, ensuring the desired lighting ambiance can be achieved. Built to last, the fixture is equipped with maintenance-free, energy-efficient LEDs that boast a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours.
The downlight is rated for wet locations, making it suitable for use in showers and protected ceilings. It is also Insulated Ceiling (IC) rated and can be used in both IC and Non-IC rated applications. The fixture is compatible with 120-277V input with 0-10V dimming or 120V input with phase-cut dimming, providing versatility in installation and control options.
