The Halo HLBE LED 4-Inch and 6-Inch Direct Mount Downlight is a recessed LED wafer lighting solution that boasts a die-formed metal driver/junction box with a captive, hinged junction box cover. Listed for (6) #12 AWG 90°C splice conductors, it offers 2-in, 2-out plus (2) ground connections, along with (2) 1/2" conduit pry-outs. Capable of accepting 14-2, 14-3, 12-2, and 12-3 U.S. NM cable, as well as 14-2, 14-3, and 12-2 Canadian NM cable, this fixture features (3) twist-on wire nuts for quick and reliable mains voltage connections.
Designed for hassle-free installation, the integral mounting facilitates direct attachment to the building structure or a mounting frame. The 120V, 60Hz constant current driver ensures noise-free operation, while the continuous, flicker-free dimming from 100% to 10% is compatible with select leading or trailing edge 120V phase-cut dimmers. Boasting UL Certification for the U.S. and Canada, this fixture is suitable for direct contact with air-permeable insulation, though not recommended for use with spray foam insulation.
Wet location listed and featuring IP44 ingress protection, the Halo HLBE Downlight is also airtight per ASTM-E283-04, making it suitable for use in clothes closets when installed in accordance with NEC 410.16 spacing requirements. Compliant with FCC 47CFR Part 15 consumer limits for EMI/RFI emissions, the fixture contains no mercury or lead and is RoHS compliant.
Photometric testing has been conducted in accordance with IES LM-79-08, and lumen maintenance projections follow IES LM-80-08 and TM-21-11. The Halo HLBE Downlight can be used for California Title 24 high-efficacy LED compliance under JA8, as referenced in the Modernized Appliance Efficiency Database System (MAEDBS) for 2022 JA8 High Efficacy Lighting. It is also ENERGY STAR® certified, as listed in the "Certified Light Fixtures" database.
